About Pelican Bay

Satellite Photo of Pelican Bay Developement

Pelican Bay is a beach community in Naples, FL.  It is home to 60 residential condominiums and home owners associations.  What makes Pelican Bay unique is that it is adjacent to two and a half miles of beach.  Tram stops within the community are waiting to whisk you away to the beach at Pelican Bay.The residents of Pelican Bay enjoy two beach front restaurants, tennis courts, a Community Center with a state of the art fitness center, canoeing, sail boats, over 40 acres of parks and nature trails.  This satellite photo will give you an idea of the scope of Pelican Bay.

Pelican Bay is bordered by Vanderbilt Rd on the North, 41 on the East,Seagate (Pine Ridge) on the South, and the Gulf of Mexico on the West.  The Ritz Carlton is on the North beach end of Pelican Bay and the Waldorf Astoria Naples Grande is on the South beach side of Pelican Bay.    The upscale Waterside Shops are on the Southeastern end of Pelican Bay.  The Market Place of Pelican Bay is located at the Northeast end of Pelican Bay.

Tram stops in the community transport residents down the berm and boardwalk, through the mangrove forest to the pristine beaches of Pelican Bay. While no beach is private in the State of Florida, Pelican Bay restricts entry to the beach, berms, and restaurants exclusively to Pelican Bay residents.   Berms throughout Pelican Bay allow residents to enjoy biking, jogging, roller blading or a leisurely walk while experiencing nature at its best.  You can even fish along the boardwalk in Inner Clam Bay or take out a canoe and explore Clam Bay!  Two tennis facilities and a tennis pro shop are also in the community and available for residents use.

There are two beach pavilions for the residents of Pelican Bay.  The Sandpiper Restaurant is located at the North Beach facility and the Sandbar Restaurant is located at the South Beach Facility.  Both these restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating with open air bar areas.  The North Beach facility even has an outdoor area where exercise classes are held, for a fee.  Both these facilities are private to Pelican Bay residents.

Each of the beaches in Pelican Bay come supplied with umbrellas, chairs and cabanas for residents’ use.  Beach attendants are at residents service to put up umbrellas and place beach chairs.  All you have to do is bring your Pelican Bay Foundation card, a towel and some suntan lotion to enjoy the beach facilities in Pelican Bay.

Are you a golfer?  The Club at Pelican Bay offers golf memberships and social memberships for Pelican Bay residents.

Located on Hammock Oak, just North of Pelican Bay BVLD, is the Pelican Bay Community Center where you will find a state of the art fitness center, meeting and banquet facilities, and a business center.  Residents meet here to take various exercise classes, computer instruction, art classes, play cards, and even take dancing lessons.  Adjacent to the Community Center the Wellness Center awaits to massage your tired bones.

Sounds great. I like to inform myself on nicer places in other Florida locales so when a client here in Tampa wants to visit other Florida locales, I can asssit them. Sometimes they come back…sometimes they like the other locale better. In either case, I’d made a friend and that’s where referrals come from.

    Thanks for the write-up.

Looks like a great place to buy a unit. I’ll be advising clinets that want to move further South than Sarasota to look into this.
