LAmbiance News

Don and I recently replaced the faucet in our guest bathroom bath tub because it had been leaking.  Since we had not had any guests recently, we had turned off the water to the shower in our guest bath.  Whenever we needed to turn the water on for that area, we had to take pliers to turn the stem to the manablock valve as we broke the plastic key we originally received from the builder.

If you have been struggling with pliers to turn your stems, call the Customer Service Department of Vanguard Piping System at 800-775-5039.  They will ship you a free manablock key.

I read an article the other day that I thought I should share with you about home owners insurance. While this article discusses vacant homes, it does bring up the question of vacancy and unoccupancy.  Policy to policy can vary on their definition of vacancy and unoccupancy.  If a property is vacant for 60 days or more, insurers might not pay claims.  If you are a part-time L’Ambiance owner, you may want to double-check with your insurance company as to their definition of  vacancy and unoccupancy.

Curious as to where Americans are moving to and from Collier County?  Click on this migration map It will take a couple of seconds for this map to load.  You can clear the map and click on various counties in the U.S. to see the migration.

Using the L’Ambiance clubhouse?  You’ll notice that L’Ambiance recently changed the air conditioner there.  September will find us doing tree trimming in L’Ambiance.  October 2-6th will be the period of time that our L’Ambiance Circle will be resurfaced.  What day will you have to make sure you move your car for the resurfacing?  Here is a tenatitive Seal Coating Map of the dates the road areas will be done.

If you have guests that are planning to visit L’Ambiance over the Labor Day weekend, please be aware that the Foundation office will be closed September 4-6th.  If you need a guest card, you’ll need to request it by Sept. 3rd.

Speaking of guest passes, The Pelican Bay Foundation will be raising the cost of guest passes to $3.00 per day per guest with a two-day minimum.  These fees are being implement starting October 1, 2010.

The Pelican Bay Foundation is also contemplating purchasing the Wachovia building located near the old Albertson’s at the Market in Pelican Bay.  Please take the time to read this proposal and express your views about this purchase to the Foundation at PelicanBay@Pelicanbayfoundation.org
